As a 2017/8 Chevening Scholar, Gabrielle is studying an LLM in Energy and Natural Resources Law at Queen Mary University of London, focusing on the financing of renewable energy projects in sub-Saharan Africa. She is a qualified attorney in South Africa and worked in the environmental and property departments at Eversheds Sutherland until 2016. During the 18 months leading up to this LLM, Gabrielle worked and travelled around Southeast Asia where she was based along the Mekong, Irrawaddy and Kapuas rivers, managing operations for a travel company, experiencing the richest cultures (and developing a passion for scuba-diving on the side).
